HEAD TRAINER & OWNER
Brooke Chasin
Brooke Chasin is a respected name in the hunter-jumper world with decades of experience developing top-tier riders and exceptional horses. As head trainer and owner of North Shore Equestrian Center, she brings a unique combination of competitive excellence, deep horsemanship, and an intuitive ability to bring out the best in every horse and rider she works with.
An accomplished rider in her own right, Brooke has a particular gift for bringing along young horses — producing them with the patience, polish, and presence that the hunter ring demands. Her feel for a green horse and her eye for potential are among the things that set her program apart.
Brooke has guided juniors and amateurs to top placings at some of the most prestigious shows in the country, including the Hampton Classic, Capital Challenge, WEF, and HITS. But she’s equally proud of helping a young rider confidently enter their first short-stirrup class or guiding a dedicated amateur to a new personal best.
Known for her calm, supportive presence and her thoughtful horse-first approach, Brooke leads NSEC with patience, expertise, and a genuine love for the sport.
ASSISTANT TRAINER
Mackenzie Ashe
Originally from North Carolina, Mackenzie came to Long Island to ride on the LIU Post Equestrian Team in college — and never left. After serving as team captain, she joined Brooke’s program and has grown into an exceptional assistant trainer with a rare ability to meet every rider exactly where they are.
Whether she’s helping a nervous beginner find their confidence, building the fundamentals of a more experienced rider, or guiding someone to the excitement of their first horse show, Mackenzie brings patience, precision, and genuine care to every lesson. She has a gift for taking riders further than they ever thought they could go — and the journey to get there is always in good hands.
THE FULL TEAM
Behind Every Great Ride
A great program is only as strong as the team behind it. At NSEC, our dedicated grooms and barn staff provide exceptional daily care for every horse in our program — ensuring they are healthy, happy, and ready to perform. We are grateful for their hard work, expertise, and genuine love for these animals. They are the backbone of everything we do.
